HIV Prevention among MSM in Cape Town
A study exploring the targeting and effectiveness of safer sex messaging for MSM from various geographical locations and racial groupings in Cape Town.
Status: Ethical approval granted by the University of the Witwatersrand. Key informant interviews and focus groups to be completed end October 2009.
Health Needs Assessment for Male and Transgender Commercial Sex Workers in Cape Town
A study to determine a model for rendering sexual health care services, including prevention, to MSM CSW in Cape Town.
Status: Ethical approval granted by the University of the Witwatersrand. Key informant interviews currently underway.
HIV-related support groups for MSM in Cape Town
A project exploring the development of a group work model facilitation of a series of semi-structured support groups for MSM living with HIV
Status: Ethical approval obtained from the University of the Witwatersrand. Project not yet commenced.
Health4Men Data Registry Project
A study exploring various dynamics related to MSM seeking health-related services from Health4Men, through the Ivan Toms Centre for Men's Health, in Cape Town.
Status: Ethical approval obtained from the University of the Witwatersrand. Project ongoing.
